Marissa Mendoza

Marissa Mendoza Performance Horses (MMPH) is a horse-training and lesson program located in North Phoenix, AZ. Marissa Mendoza is an equine professional with 35 years of experience in riding, training, student-coaching and the showing of horses. Marissa’s program offers instructional coaching to beginner through advanced riders; for both youth and adults in English and Western riding disciplines. In 2023, Marissa founded her MM Horsemanship Academy where students are taught comprehensive horsemanship and riding skills in a friendly and encouraging environment.
Marissa specializes in the training of western reining horses yet utilizes a customized approach for each horse to create well-rounded equine partners of any breed and discipline. Her philosophy is to regard the specific needs of each horse and rider, bringing out the best of them in their own time.

Facility

Marissa Mendoza Performance Horses and MM Horsemanship Academy is located at Pinnacle Peak Equestrian Center (PPEC) in North Phoenix, AZ. PPEC is a large equestrian facility which boasts an array of amenities including a covered riding arena with footing groomed daily; an exercise track; multiple outdoor arenas; round pens; and turn outs. Boarding accommodations include box stalls and mare motel stabling.
